Who can Film or Photograph Classes?
Instructors and dance2b staff are the only ones permitted to film classes for liability and licensing rights of the choreography and the release form. Please follow d2b instructors and dance2b on Social Media Platforms such as Facebook, Youtube and Instagram to see class videos. Fan photos of the studio and instructors are always welcome and tags appreciated for dance2b. The studio has many clients who pay to rent our space to film and we want to maintain the integrity of that fee. If clients are wanting to access the warm up and choreography post-class, our entire Mindbody library of over 150 classes is available to access. Those who take private dance lessons with a d2b instructor are permitted to film as part of their fees.
What is the Class Cancellation Policy?
Knowing that many adults have major holidays off from work, dance2b makes an effort to offer classes on some of them so you can enjoy dance on your day off. Always check the Facebook Page, Instagram and the MindBody Platform for holiday schedules and last minute class cancellations, which is rare. In case of inclement weather, studio closures for am classes will be posted by 10am and by 4pm for evening classes. Note that there is a minimum of 2-3 attendees needed to run a class so make sure to sign up via MindBody so we know you will be attending. Being a drop-in studio, the instructor will wait 5 minutes to make the call.
If you need to cancel your sign up for a class you must early cancel within the app/website before the 4 hour window prior to the start of your class. After that window, your class is forfeited. We also have a late cancel/no show policy that requires a charge to you $15 for every time you late cancel and $25 for a no-show to a dance2b class.
We put this late cancel policy in place to keep you accountable to your own health and dance goals, and also reminding you that no-showing or cancelling right before class may inhibit others from attending. In the future, if you are able to cancel outside of the 4 hour window prior to class knowing you won’t be able to make it, go ahead and click that “cancel reservation” button and you’re good to go, with no additional charges.
For private training, the cancellation period is no later than 24 hours in advance of the lesson. Late cancelations and no-shows are still charged.
What should I wear?
There is not a strict dress code here at dance2b. Make sure whatever you choose to wear is comfortable and allows you to move freely. Most clients wear leggings or shorts and a tank top. As for shoes, hip hop classes generally require tennis shoes, tap classes require tap shoes, and heels requires supportive heels or booties. For all other classes, ballet shoes, jazz shoes, jazz sneakers, or toe thongs may be worn, but are not required. Socks or bare feet are also permitted.
No street shoes allowed as they track in dirt and rocks.
Can I tour the studio or watch a class before signing up?
We do not provide tours of the studio since its hours of operation are during class times only. We do not allow clients to “view” or watch classes out of respect to the clients already in class who would prefer to not be watched.
